Instructions for #145VBA VacuVision RF 915 Hose Board Assembly Installation
The following guidelines are to assist with the installation of the 145VBA (RF 915 Hose Board Assembly) as a retrofit into Plastiflex 352GH hose handle that previously ONLY used a 110 VOLTAGE WIRE (no low voltage). If you need this technology but don’t have a only 2-wire hose, you can purchase a complete electric RF915 hose.

  1. Removal of Hose Board Assembly

    1. Unplug hose from any vacuum inlet valve and electrical source.

    2. Remove 8 screws on right side of hose handle.

    3. Carefully separate the two sides of the hose handle.

    4. Remove hose end from stub tube assembly. Be careful to keep rings and separators in place.

    5. Remove hose board assembly and stub tube assembly.

  1. RF 915 Hose Board Assembly Insertion

    1. Insert contact board into slots on the left side of the hose handle.

      1. Contact board must be fully seated.

      2. Wires should be routed in wire channel and below screw receptacle.

      1. Large black wire should be routed from the contact board to the upper side (right) of main circuit board.

      2. Insert the high voltage female receiver into the slots provided on the stub tube end of the hose handle.

      3. Route the black and white wire as shown.

      1. Position the main circuit board and wires as shown. Yellow RF sending wire should be positioned up towards top of hose handle. The thinner part of the main circuit board should be towards the front of the handle, and the two cylindrical components should be positioned down.

      1. Position switch in opening on upper part of handle.

      2. Carefully insert stub tube assembly by inserting the two round plastic supports through the associated holes in the main circuit board. Board assembly and stub tube assembly can then be fully seated into hose handle.

      3. Check to insure wires are properly routed and not pinched between board and protrusions on handle.

      4. Carefully insert hose end onto stub tube assembly and into left side of hose handle. Be sure the metal ring contacts on the contact board are in solid contact with the metal rings on the hose end.

      5. Check to be sure all components are positioned correctly and fully seated.

      6. Place right side of hose handle in place over left handle assembly.

      7. Press right side of hose handle onto left side assembly and fully seat high voltage female receptacle as sides come together

      8. Insure three-way switch is positioned and seated correctly.

      9. Insert the 8 screws securing the hose handle sides together. Care must be taken to not over-tighten the screws. This may cause damage to the screw receptacles.

Instructions for #145VR VacuVision RF 915
The following instructions describe the procedure for programming the Wireless Receiver (part #145VR), the Hose Board Assembly (part # 145VBA), and the Automitter (part #145VA) to synchronize communication.

  1. Install VacuVision RF915 components as per the installation instructions.

  1. Programming hose handle

    1. Place three-way switch of hose in center (off) position.

    2. Insert hose end into vacuum inlet valve.

    3. Connect hose to high voltage via direct connect contacts in inlet valve or inserting cord end into electrical outlet.

    4. Press the small black button on the top edge of the Wireless Receiver (part #145VR). Green light on front of receiver should light.

    1. Move three-way switch on the hose handle to the right position for approximately one second. The green light on the receiver should turn off.

    2. Move three-way switch to the center (off) position.

    3. Move three-way switch to the right position. Vacuum power unit should activate.

Instructions for #145VA Programming VacuVision Automitter

(Use any with VacPans or VacuSweeps or Low Voltage Connection.)
Connecting to VacPan (low voltage contact closure valves)

  1. Connect Automitter to low-voltage wires from contact closure device such as the VacPan.

  2. Depress the black button on the top edge of the receiver until light on front of receiver turns green.

  3. Activate low-voltage contact closure device. Green light on Automitter should blink green.

Note: As an alternative, the Automitter can be activated by bridging the two low-voltage metal tabs with a metal screwdriver or other metal device making contact with both tabs simultaneously.

  1. The light on the Automitter and the light on the receiver should turn off.

  2. De-activate the low-voltage contact closure device (i.e. VacPan).

  3. Re-activate contact closure device. Vacuum power unit should activate.

Replacing Automitter Batteries

    1. Disconnect low-voltage wires coming from contact closure device to Automitter.

    2. Carefully remove back cover using a small flat-edged screwdriver to depress plastic tabs.

    3. Carefully remove circuit board from main plastic housing.

    4. Replace two AAA batteries.

    1. Carefully reinsert circuit board into main plastic housing.

    2. Snap back cover into place. Care must be taken to not break off plastic tabs.

    3. Reconnect low-voltage wires from contact closure device.

Instructions for #145VRP Programming VacuVision Repeater

(Use any where as a Repeater. Plugs into a regular electrical outlet.)

  1. Hold down button on Repeater for one second, light turns green.

  2. With the hose plugged into 110 volts, switch the hose to the right and then back to the middle.

  3. If you need to reset the Repeater hold down the button until the green light blinks.

  4. The receiver should be programmed to hose then repeater to hose.
