Botanical Society of Washington
2008 Field Trips – Revised Schedule
25 July 2008
The Botanical Society of Washington plans to offer five local field trips in the Washington, D.C., region in the 2008 season, including a short-distance, easy-going, everybody-welcome fall trip appropriate for old-timers, little kids, and others. We also plan a weekend excursion farther afield, this year to central Delmarva, Aug. 2-3.
Unless indicated otherwise, Society field trips are open to the interested public.
The current schedule for 2008 follows. Check the BSW web site (http://www.botsoc.org/) for individual trip announcements as available, as well as revisions to this summary list.
Note: The previously announced but unscheduled late-summer Mattawoman Creek canoeing trip has been cancelled, but may be offered in 2009. A terrestrial field trip to the nearby Chicamuxen Wildlife Area will be offered instead, on Saturday, August 16th.
