Text : The development of Public health in Uzbekistan”.

During the years of Uzbekistan power great progress has been achieved in the development of public health in our country.

In 1913 there only 20 000 doctors in Russia, that is one doctor served 10 000 of the population. Now there are about 700 000 doctors in our country that maker about ⅓ of the number of all the doctors in the world and more than half of those in Europe.

Public health in Uzbekistan is characterized by new methods of medical service.

Thanks to various health measures our country has achieved high standards of public health and the lowest total mortality rate. The State has taken the responsiblity for man’s health. Rublic health allocations are increasing every year. Any Uzbek citizen wherever he lives may go to the doctor or make a call for him if necessary and he will receive qualified medical aid free of charge.

Every Uzbek citigen has the right to a sick – leave pay at the Trade. Union expense from the day he falls ill to the moment of his recovery.

The Uzbek health service has many First aid Stations with thousands of well – equipped modern ambulances and highly qualified ambulance doctors.

The main prenciples of Uzbek public health are the prevention of diseases, and the extension of the life – span of Uzbek people.

In order to achieve this extensive measures control cardiovaseular diseases and cancer are beino carried out. Great attention is paid to the environment – the elimination of air pollution with industrial and automobile gases, the control of growing noises in large cities.

Uzbek people may restore their health in different sanatoriums and rest homes.

Bu usulda guruhga topshiriq beriladi. “the development of Public Health in Uzbekistan” matnini qisqacha mazmunini yozing. Talaba stol ustidagi ruchkani olib qog’ozga yozadi-da, yozilgan qog’ozni qo’shni talabaga uzatadi, o’zining ruchkasini stol o’rtasiga qo’yadi. Topshiriqni bajarish uchun 10-15 minut vaqt beriladi. Public health in Uzbekistan”

According to the Constitution of the republic of Uzbekistan currently in force free medical assistance to population is still prevented in Uzbekistan and provided by local polyclinics, emergency first aid district, municipal, countey, regional and republoc’s hospital.

Public health service is financed from the state budget: it’s share in the state bugdet averages 10-11 percent of budget expenses.

All kinds of specialized medical assistance are to be found in the republic: cardiology, gastroentology, endocrinology, newrology, gaematology, rheumatology, therapeutic, etc ... There is a network of specialized health centres such as: antituberculosis, oncologic, sken and veneral, narcological lepric, skin and veneral narcological lepric, etc.

There are 1323 hospitals and specialized centres with 255 thousands beds in Uzbekistan: 3135 policlinics which can receive 275 thousand people a day. The number of physicians of all specialities amounts over 73 thousand peple. In cluding 56% percent of women doctors.

In the period of temporary disablement from 30 to 100% of wages and salaries are paid to workers from the salaries are paid to workers from the social secwity funds depending on the length of service. The medical service on the last decades assumes more and more a prophylactic character: annually free medical examination of workers is carried out at the enterprises. For chilren various preventive vaccinations are obligatory. In the republic there are no cases of smallpox cholera, plegue.

In 1993-1994 it is planned to use medical insurance the foundation of which is formed today: there is a network of paid policlinics in the republic; some enterprises and citizens use voluntary medical incurance.

Text: THE DOCTOR EXAMINES AHMAD

Ahmad was a nice little boy of six Everybody liked him. He lived with his mother and his sister Lola who was only 3 years old. The children were quite happy and always gay. They played and laughed all day long. In winter the children lived in town, in summer the family used to go to the country.

One day at dinner time Ahmad refused to eat, he had no appetite and looked ill. When mother noticed the first symptoms of a commencing disease. She immediately called in the doctor. Ahmad seemed to be very ill. He was no longer a merry, laughing boy as usual he had no desire to run about and play but stayed in his bed complaining of a bad headache and coughing.

When the doctor entered the room. Ahmad recognized him at once. The doctor approached Ahmad’s bed smiling and rubbing his hands. “Well Ahmad how are you?”, the doctor asked sitting down on a chair near the boy’s bed. “Now open your mouth and show me your tongue”.

Text . National Health Service in England.
The National Health Service in England was inaugurated ¹ on July 5, 1948 by the Minister for Health under the National Health Service Act of 1946.

The number of doctors in England is not quite enough to serve 54 million potential patients who are treated at the expense of the National Health Service. Hospitals are always crowded ² and the number of doctors working there is not sufficient. Nurses are also in short supply.

All doctors may take part in the Family Doctor System and most of the physicians do so. They may have private receiving the pay directly from the patients for their medical advice. Health Service doctors are paid by the Government. The pay depending on the number of patients they have served every month.

The hospital service includes general and special ones, tuberculosis sanatoria, infectious disease units, and all forms of specialized treatment together with the provision of most surgical and medical needs.

In the main this part of the service is organized by 15 Regional Hospital Boards. ³ in each hospital area there is a University having a teaching hospital or a medical school .
