  1. General Information

The Building Regulations 1994, S.R. No. 81/1994, were made on 15 June 1994 by the Governor in Council under sections 3, 7, 9, 14, 15, 16, 19, 21, 22, 26, 27, 32, 43, 45, 53, 56, 75, 79, 84, 85, 103, 108, 114, 116, 146, 147, 170, 201, 238, 241, 254, 255, 261 and 262 and Schedules 1 and 2 of the Building Act 1993, No. 126/1993 and came into operation on 1 July 1994: regulation 1.3.

The Building Regulations 1994 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 15 June 2004 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
