1. Overview

A dynamic web page is a kind of web page that has been prepared with fresh information (content and/or layout), for each individual viewing. It is not static because it changes with the time (ex. a news content), the user (ex. preferences in a login session), the user interaction (ex. web page game), the context (parametric customization), or any combination of the foregoing.

For the providing up-to-data information to the concerned stakeholders, a dynamic web site is highly useful which can be managed and edited easily by any user who is familiar with the windows operating system and has general knowledge of using the internet and email. Therefore, organizations plan the task of developing a dynamic and database driven web site and host such a system. Once it is developed and hosted, update and change information becomes easy for the users at the organization and they themselves can update the web site and make it up-to-date. This helps in making the website editing and maintenance task easier.
2. Scope of the Work

The task of developing the web sites involves the following activities:

    1. Developing Web Content Management System

A content management system (CMS) is the collection of procedures used to manage work flow in a collaborative environment. These procedures can be manual or computer-based. The procedures are designed to do the following:

  • Allow for a large number of people to contribute to and share stored data

  • Control access to data, based on user roles (defining which information users or user groups can view, edit, publish, etc.)

  • Aid in easy storage and retrieval of data

  • Reduce repetitive duplicate input

  • Improve communication between users

    1. Designing Database:

A Database Management System (DBMS) is a set of computer programs that controls the creation, maintenance, and the use of a database. It allows organizations to place control of database development in the hands of database administrators (DBAs) and other specialists. A DBMS is a system software package that helps the use of integrated collection of data records and files known as databases. It allows different user application programs to easily access the same database. In large systems, a DBMS allows users and other software to store and retrieve data in a structured way. Instead of having to write computer programs to extract information, user can ask simple questions in a query language. Thus, many DBMS packages provide Fourth-generation programming language (4GLs) and other application development features. It helps to specify the logical organization for a database and access and use the information within a database. It provides facilities for controlling data access, enforcing data integrity, managing concurrency, and restoring the database from backups. A DBMS also provides the ability to logically present database information to users.

2.3 Page and Graphics Designing

This task involves designing the layout of the web pages and the images, banners, backgrounds, colors, photographs, CSS etc to present the data in pleasant manner.

2.4 Developing Web Blog

A blog (a blend of the term web log) is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

2.5 Creating Web Photo Gallery

A photo gallery is a collection of photo albums and photographs inside it. Users can create albums as per their need and keep photographs inside the albums they created.

2.6 Managing Current News and Events:

This features provides and easy way to manage the latest news and events of the organization in the web site. This is a database driven application which helps the end users to upload current news and events and inform concerned stakeholders about the recent activities of the organization.

    1. Developing Notice board and Hit Counter

This feature provides an easy interface to the end users to inform people about the notices they have published recently. The Hit Counter counts the number of people visiting the web site. It helps us in finding the browsing statistics of the web site.

    1. Managing Download Center

This application manages the documents such msword, excel, powerpoint, pdf etc so that end users can download these documents from the web site. If the organization wants to distribute the documents to the public, it can upload such documents in the download center.

    1. Developing Internal Search Engine

The search engine helps the end users to search information inside the website.

    1. Providing Email

This service provides the users to create the email address on their own domain. (Example: - Ram creates an email address on the domain of his own company.) It helps in promoting the web site as well.

    1. Managing SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) target paid listings. In general, the earlier (or higher on the page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a website web presence.

    1. Providing Hosting Service:

Under the hosting service, we provide web space to the client in our secured web server. The cost of the server space is yearly renewable.
