Assistant Professor

from AGP Rs. 6,000/- to AGP Rs. 7,000/- (Senior Scale)


  1. Assistant Professor Completed 4 Years of Service with Ph.D

OR

5 Years of a service who are with M.Phil/PG Degree in Professional Courses such as M.Tech, M.Arch, MURP and MFA



OR

6 Years of service who are without Ph.D/ M.Phil/ PG Degree in Professional Courses.





  1. Minimum API (Academic Performance Indicator) scores using PBAS (Performance Based Academic Systems) scoring proforma developed by the concerned University as per the norms provided in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in University Departments/equivalent cadres in Universities and Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in Colleges.

  2. One Orientation and one Refresher/Research Methodology Course of 2/3 weeks duration.

iii. No separate interview points for the Screening cum verification Process of recommending AGP elevation.

Assistant Professor

from AGP Rs. 7,000/- to AGP Rs.8,000/- (Selection Grade Scale).


  1. Assistant Professor with completed Service of Five Years at AGP of Rs. 7,000/-.



  1. Minimum API (Academic Performance Indicator) scores using PBAS (Performance Based Academic Systems) scoring proforma developed by the concerned University as per the norms provided in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in University Departments/Equivalent Cadres in Universities and Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in Colleges.

  2. Additionally, two courses/ Programmes from among the categories of refresher courses, Workshops, Training, Teaching – Learning – Evaluation Technology Programmes Soft Skills development Programmes and Faculty Development Programmes for a minimum period of one week duration to have been undergone during the assessment period.

  3. No separate interview points for the Screening cum verification Process of recommending AGP elevation.

Associate Professor

from AGP Rs.8,000/- to AGP Rs. 9,000/-


  1. Assistant Professor with 3 years of Completed service in AGP of Rs. 8,000/- and possessing Ph.D. Degree in the relevant discipline.



  1. Minimum API (Academic Performance Indicator) scores using PBAS (Performance Based Academic Systems) scoring proforma developed by the concerned University as per the norms provided in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in University Departments/equivalent cadres in Universities and Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in Colleges.

  2. Three publications.

  3. Additionally, one course/ training under the categories of Professional Development/ Curriculum Development/ Examination Reform Programmes for a minimum period of three days. A Selection Committee process as stipulated in this regulation and in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in the university Departments/equivalent cadres in Universities and in Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in colleges.

Professor with AGP of

Rs. 10,000/- .


  1. Associate Professor with 3 years of Completed service in AGP of Rs. 9,000/- and possessing Ph.D. Degree in the relevant discipline.



  1. Minimum yearly/cumulative API (Academic Performance Indicator) scores using PBAS (Performance Based Academic Systems) scoring proforma developed by the concerned University as per the norms provided in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in University Departments /equivalent cadres in Universities and Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in Colleges.

  2. A minimum of five publications.

  3. A Selection Committee process as stipulated in this regulation and in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in the university Departments/equivalent cadres in Universities and in Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in colleges.

5.

Professor with AGP of Rs. 12,000/- .


  1. Professor with 10 years of Completed service.



  1. Minimum yearly/cumulative API (Academic Performance Indicator) scores for the assessment period, based on the using the PBAS (Performance Based Academic Systems) scoring proforma developed by the concerned University as per the norms provided in Table III (a) of Appendix III for teachers in University Departments/equivalent cadres in Universities and in Table III (b) of Appendix III for teachers/ equivalent cadres in Colleges.

  2. As this AGP elevation for professor is applicable to only University departments, additional credentials are to be evidenced by

  1. Post – Doctoral research outputs of high – standard.

  2. Awards/honours/recognitions/Patents and IPR on products and process developed/Technology transfer achieved; and

  3. Additional research degrees like D.Sc., D.litt., LL.B etc.,

  1. The selection process is to be conducted by the University through as Expert – Committee evaluation of all credentials submitted along with duly filled PBAS proforma by eligible Professors as stipulated in Table – III (A) of Appendix – III for teachers in University departments. No separate interview need to be conducted for this category.
