  BELLE GARDEN EPHEMERAL WETLAND
FLORA CHECKLIST
Belle Garden Ephemeral Wetland is an important natural resource not only to the local community living around it, but also to the future preservation of natural heritage through generation of tourism, awareness and education. Many species of flora and fauna can be found in this small area and it is hoped that children, adults and visitors alike can partake in the preservation of Tobago’s entire beautiful natural heritage. We would like to thank the National Herbarium of Trinidad and Tobago for all of the help they have given us with compiling a species list of the wetland.
Over thirty four families were identified in the wetland. These include:
