Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 211 IS CREATED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

This section is enacted with the express legislative intention of encouraging mothers to breast-feed, and thereby to increase the rates and duration of breast-feeding.
(3) A state agency that administers a program providing maternal or child health services shall provide information that encourages breast-feeding to program participants who are pregnant women or mothers with babies.
(4) The department shall annually publish statistical information related to breast-feeding beginning in fiscal year 2005-2006.
